Dutch-born ex-Nigeria U23 invitee offered new deal by Sheffield Wednesday amid Palace, Leeds links
Published: May 20, 2021Through their official website, relegated Championship club Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 campaign.
One of the decisions taken by the club is to offer former Nigeria U23 invitee Osaze Urhoghide a new contract.
Urhoghide could be departing the South Yorkshire club as a free agent in July if the offer is declined.
The Dutch-born defender has been linked with possible moves to Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Club Brugge and Sporting Clube de Portugal.
He is currently weighing up his options before making a decision on his next move.
Capable of playing multiple roles in defence, Urhoghide recorded sixteen appearances in the Championship in 2020-2021, of which twelve were starts.
The 20-year-old joined Sheffield Wednesday in 2019 after spells with AFC Wimbledon and CB Hounslow.
Meanwhile, onetime Nigeria Football Federation target Moses Odubajo will move on to pastures new in the summer as he has not been offered a new contract by Sheffield Wednesday.
