Nigeria could play a second friendly next month in Austria, four days after facing Cameroon
The Nigeria Football Federation have lined up a second friendly for the Super Eagles next month in Austria.

The official website of Spanish La Liga club Villarreal has confirmed that Samuel Chukwueze has been named in Nigeria's provisional squad list for two games in June.

The Super Eagles will face Cameroon in the first of their two matches (June 4), while the opponent for their second international match is yet to be confirmed (June 8).

Senegal had been touted as a possible opponent but it is confirmed that the top ranked African nation won't be facing the Super Eagles as they have already scheduled a match against Zambia on June 8th.

Manager Gernot Rohr has named a 31-man provisional squad for the two games, which will serve as preparation for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The World Cup qualifiers is scheduled to begin in September 2021 when the Super Eagles will battle Liberia before traveling to Cape Verde.

The Mexican Football Federation and Nigeria Football Federation have confirmed that the two countries will meet in a friendly on Saturday July 3.
