Teenage winger of Nigerian descent named in Chelsea's Champions League final squad
Manager Thomas Tuchel has selected England youth international of Nigerian descent Faustino Anjorin in Chelsea's Champions League final squad, informs the official website of The Blues.

There was strong indication that the 19-year-old was going to be included on the roster as he has been training with the first team since Monday.

The German football tactician has taken twenty-five players to Portugal so must drop at least two players from his squad list in the hours leading up to the final against Manchester City.

Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder and winger, Anjorin is battling the more experienced quintet Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz for one of the spots in the matchday 23.

The Anglo-Nigeria will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of ex-Ajax Amsterdam striker Nwankwo Kanu who played in the Champions League final whilst still a teenager.

Anjorin participated in Chelsea's final training session at Cobham before the squad traveled to Portugal on Thursday.

Former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel was a key member of the Chelsea squad that won the Champions League in 2012.

Meanwhile, German-born England youth international of Nigerian descent, Felix Nmecha was not part of Manchester City's 24-man squad that traveled to Portugal on Thursday afternoon.
