Sporting Director confirms Venezia are working on deal to sign Super Eagles fullback
Published: June 25, 2021Venezia sporting director Mattia Collauto has confirmed that the newly-promoted side are working on a deal to sign Super Eagles right-back Tyronne Ebuehi.
The Benfica defender is edging closer to a move to Venezia having held transfer talks with the club's sporting director and technical director Paolo Poggi.
Should the deal go through, a loan move with a purchase clause inserted into the contract is being mooted.
"We talked to each other," Collauto said to Italian regional daily newspaper based in Venice, La Nuova di Venezia e Mestre.
"He is a player we know and have been following for some time, we are doing the evaluations."

Ebuehi spent the whole of last season on loan at Twente, scoring one goal in 33 appearances in the Eredivisie and was cautioned only once in 2,841 minutes of action.
The 25-year-old has a contract with Benfica until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
