Confirmed : Aggressive 6ft 4in striker Iwobi signs new deal at Stoke City
Published: July 17, 2021With a statement on their official website, Championship club Stoke City have announced their latest intake of academy scholars ahead of the start of the 2021-2022 season.
Promising Nigerian teenager Justin Iwobi and nine other youngsters have put pen to paper to become scholars at The Potters.
Apart from Iwobi, Max Asplin, Jack Griffiths, Tommy Simkin, Tom Curl, Matty Lusakueno, Logan Laird, Luke Wilson, Charlie Leybourn and Taylor McMahon have also started the first year of their scholarships at Stoke City.
Giving the lowdown on Iwobi, Academy Director Gareth Owen said to the club's official website : "Forward from Manchester. Joined as an U15 from Bury.
"A 6ft 4in striker who is athletic, aggressive, can hold the ball up, and can finish. Very good character in the dressing room".

Last season, Iwobi picked up some valuable experience in the U18 Premier League by playing two matches, and also debuted in the prestigious FA Youth Cup as a schoolboy.
2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Iffy Udanoh has entered the second year of his scholarship at Stoke City and the two Anglo-Nigerian players will represent the U18s in 2021-2022.
