Chelsea loanee Anjorin arrives in Moscow, handed iconic shirt number
Published: September 03, 2021Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Faustino Anjorin has arrived in Moscow to begin his career at Lokomotiv Moscow.
The Chelsea academy graduate was initially named on the England U20 roster for their upcoming friendly against Romania at St. George's Park but has been replaced by Derby County's Louie Sibley.
On Thursday, both Chelsea and Lokomotiv Moscow confirmed that they have reached an agreement over a loan deal for the highly-rated teenager, with a purchase option included in the contract.
The European champions have included a buy-back option, similar to the clause inserted into the deal taking Tammy Abraham to AS Roma.
Lokomotiv Moscow uploaded on Instagram a video of Anjorin's arrival at the airport in Moscow.
The Railwaymen have registered the 19-year-old for the Russian Premier League and he will be wearing the iconic number 10 jersey for the remainder of the 2021-2022 campaign.
Previous holders of the number 10 jersey include David Mujiri, Ilya Tsymbalar, Vladimir Maminov, Andrey Lavrik, Igor Cherevchenko , Oleg Garin and Evgeni Kuznetsov.
