Celtic old boy steals the show on Olise's Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur's perfect start to the new Premier League season is over after a 3-0 defeat suffered at the hands of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

Former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira had his first three points in charge of Crystal Palace thanks to a brace from summer signing from Glasgow Celtic Odsonne Edouard and Wilfried Zaha's opener from the spot in the 76th minute.

With the scoreboard reading 2-0, Vieira introduced 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise off the bench to replace Ghanaian Jordan Ayew in the 87th minute.

Olise was with Reading last season in the Championship and arrived Crystal Palace with plenty of pedigree having been named the English Football League Young Player of the Year last season and that's why Palace parted with £8million to get him.

A troublesome back injury had prevented the former France U18 international from making his competitive debut for Crystal Palace prior to the visit of Tottenham Hotspur.

Edouard had a remarkable start to his Premier League life, scoring two goals after being introduced off the bench in the 84th minute.

The 23-year-old certainly knows where the goal is, getting on the scoresheet 28 seconds into his Premier League debut and put the gloss on the score in the third minute of stoppage time.

Tottenham Hotspur's Nigeria-eligible center back Tobi Omole, 21, remained rooted to the bench in the lunchtime kickoff.
