'They beat our rivals Celtic' - Rangers ace Aribo highlights the pedigree of Sparta Prague
Published: September 29, 2021Joe Aribo has built up a lot of European experience since moving to Glasgow Rangers from Charlton Athletic in July 2019.
Everything is pointing to the fact that the versatile midfielder will make his 29th appearance for the Light Blues in European competitions on Thursday evening after he was selected for media duties this morning ahead of the clash against Czech side Sparta Prague.
Aribo noted that Sparta Prague are a good side and demonstrated their pedigree by thrashing Glasgow Celtic twice in last season's Europa League.
On the impression he has about Sparta Prague, Aribo told reporters at the pre-match press conference : "We know that they are a good team, we've spoken with the staff about them, what we've done is try to set a game plan to see how we are going to beat them.
"We know last year they beat a good side in our rivals Celtic so we know they are definitely a very good team and we are going to have to be at our best in order to get a result that we want to get".

After scoring a cracking goal at the weekend that secured three points against Dundee FC, the Super Eagles number 10 is hoping to score more important goals for Steven Gerrard's side.
In 104 outings for Rangers, Aribo has directly participated in 36 goals (19 goals, 17 assists).
"I think I've said a few times that I want to add goals to my game, I want to be popping up in important games and just always adding and leaving my mark on a game.
"I'd call it assists, goals so I definitely have an aim to do more and be more important towards the team".
