Published: October 02, 2021Emmanuel Dennis has won Watford's Goal of the Month award for September 2021, the Hornets announced via their official website just before their Premier League meeting with Leeds United at Elland Road.
The Nigeria international picked up the accolade for his brilliant strike against Norwich City at Carrow Road on September 18.
Seventeen minutes into the contest, Dennis was in
the right place at the right time and guided home a header after Kiko
Femenía delivered a dangerous cross into the box.
This is the second consecutive month that the former Club Brugge star has won an individual award at Watford having been named Player of the Month for August.
Dennis' goal came out on top in the poll with 37 percent of the vote, placing first ahead of of Sarr, Anne Meiwald, Helen Ward, 2021 Super Falcons invitee Adekite Fatuga-Dada and Ashley Fletcher.
The 23-year-old was in the Watford side beaten 1-0 by Leeds United on Saturday, his seventh straight start in the Premier League.
Dennis has not suited up for the Super Eagles since coming off the bench in a goalless draw against Sierra Leone in November 2020.
