Eagles camp update : Ex-Chelsea defender among three new arrivals, training on grass 1700 hours
Former Chelsea center back Kenneth Omeruo is among three new arrivals at the Super Eagles camp ahead of the team's first training session on grass, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Joining the Leganes star at the Eko Hotels & Suites on Tuesday morning were Cypriot-based Omonia Nicosia duo Abdullahi Shehu  and goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.

Just four players in the shape of Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon and Maduka Okoye were still being expected as at the time of this report.

Omeruo and Shehu made rare starts for the Super Eagles in their away win against Cape Verde last month, while Osimhen, Iheanacho, Simon and Okoye are guaranteed a place in manager Gernot Rohr's ideal starting line-up.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will hold their first training session on grass at the Teslim Balogun Stadium this evening, starting from 1700 hours.

With only two days left before the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic, the Nigeria Football Federation and manager Gernot Rohr have demanded that the training session be held behind closed doors.

It means Nigerian journalists will be allowed to witness only the first fifteen minutes before they are shut out.
