Joe Aribo breaks his silence on reports linking him with move to English Premier League
Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has broken his silence on reports linking him with a possible move to the English Premier League.

It is known than an unnamed English top-flight club had explored ways to sign the versatile Glasgow Rangers star in the summer transfer window.

Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr added fuel to those rumours by claiming that Aribo was one of the players that reported late for international duty last month because of transfer talks.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands one of the reasons the former Charlton Athletic man showed up late to the Super Eagles camp was simply because he missed his flight from the United Kingdom to Lagos.

When asked by Brila FM to comment on rumours linking him with a move to England, Aribo said : "I am not focused with anything that is coming outside of football.

"I'm just focused on what's going on with my club, and me and my club so that's all I care about and that's what I want to be doing."

Glasgow Rangers coach Steven Gerrard has utilized Aribo in several positions including attacking midfield, central midfield and winger since his switch to the Light Blues.

On what it means to him the experience of being an utility player, he said : "It's helping me grow as a player. You know I'm understanding different positions, what to do in certain positions on the pitch so it's really good for me and it helps me grow as a player.

"I want to add goals and assists to my game so hopefully I can get as many as possible".

Aribo, who could win his tenth cap tomorrow against Central African Republic, has not scored for the Super Eagles in his last seven matches.
