Snapped : New Watford boss begins running the rule over Troost-Ekong pre-Liverpool
Published: October 13, 2021New Watford manager Claudio Ranieri has started running the rule over Super Eagles assistant captain William Troost-Ekong ahead of his side's upcoming English Premier League meeting with Liverpool at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets have uploaded a video to Instagram showing the respected Italian football tactician having a chat with the Nigeria international during Wednesday's workout.
Ranieri was appointed manager of Watford on a two-year contract last week but Troost-Ekong couldn't familiarize himself with the new coach until now because he was on international duty with the Super Eagles.
The Tottenham Hotspur academy product went the distance in Nigeria's double-header against Central African Republic this month.
Another Nigeria international, who wasn't called up for the games against the Wild Beasts in Emmanuel Dennis, also participated in today's workout.
Central midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has started rehabilitation with Watford's medical team after surgery on the tear in his quad and is not expected to return to action until next year.
Watford are currently sat fifteenth in the Premier League table with seven points from seven matches.
