5 African Football Players to Watch Out For
In recent years, a number of African football players have attracted the attention of some of the world’s top clubs.

From the likes of Roger Milla and Sadio Mane to Jay-Jay Okocha to Didier Drogba, the continent is home to some of the top talent the sport has ever produced.

This is also one of the main reasons why top-rated clubs have established scouting networks in this region and, by doing so, have unearthed promising results.

Continue reading to find out which African football players you should watch out for.

1.  Youssouph Badji

As one of the most exciting talents to emerge from Senegal in recent years, Youssouph Badji is still relatively new to the professional scene following his debut at Club Brugge in 2020.

At only 20 years old, however, this is already an achievement in itself and one that has caught the attention of football fans and team managers alike throughout the past season.

This excitement has been cemented by a string of career-best matches and wins against fellow Belgian teams KAS Eupen and Genk.

The future is bright for this young player as he undoubtedly goes on to participate in a number of national and international football tournaments with a leading online sportsbook such as 10bet the main sponsor.

2.  Samuel Chukwueze

Samuel Chukwueze is a Nigerian native that has dabbled in the professional football scene for a number of years now.

He currently plays for Villarreal as well as the Nigeria national team and was the lucky recipient of the Nigeria Football Federation’s 2018 Young Player of the Year award.

In this time, he has made a name for himself with his unique playing style of cutting in with his left foot and taking shots at a goal leading to him being compared to Arjen Robben.

In his early 20s, he has shown a great deal of potential so far and is poised for big things within the wider world of professional football as he grows and develops as a player in the coming years.

3.  Youssoufa Moukoko

Youssoufa Moukoko recently made his debut for Bundesliga at Borussia Dortmund and made a name for himself on popular online betting platforms, such as 10bet Tanzania, in the process, all before the age of 17.

He climbed the ranks within the youth levels for a number of years at Signal Iduna Park before exploding onto the professional football scene and has proven that he has all of the makings of a football legend already.

In addition, he has also been praised for his uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time and possess a seemingly natural goalscoring instinct.

By showing skills beyond his young years, football fans and managers alike can only imagine how successful he will be as he grows and develops as a player.

4.  Victor Osimhen

Also hailing from the unofficial football capital of Africa, Nigeria, is Victor Osimhen. He may have only joined Napoli in 2020 but he has achieved great things in the short time since.

He joined Wolfsburg in 2016 but made it abundantly clear that he was ill-prepared for a career at a senior level and, as a result, made the move to RSC Charleroi and re-established himself as a force to be reckoned with within the wider football community.

He then joined LOSC Lille where he sharpened his existing goal scoring skills and finished the season with 18 goals and six assists.

His growth and development both on the pitch and off the pitch have cemented his place as an African football player worth watching out for in the coming years.

5.    Krepin Diatta

A fellow Club Brugge player, Krepin Diatta has shown steady progress since he joined the team in 2018 and during his entire professional career so far.

He first made a name for himself at the Oslo Academy in Dakar before joining Sarpsborg in 2017 and has since wowed fellow players and spectators alike by participating in every Lions of Teranga match since March 2019.

He may be a right-winger, but he has also proved he can take on a number of positions on the pitch including on the left and in behind the striker.

When it comes to some of the world’s best football talent, Africa has no shortage. From Youssouph Badji, Samuel Chukwueze, and Youssoufa Moukoko to Victor Osimhen and Krepin Diatta, the future of Africa’s football scene is bright with these young stars at the helm.
