Red-hot Norwegian-Nigerian attacker scores in third consecutive match for Chelsea Youth
Published: October 23, 2021Norwegian-Nigerian striker Bryan Fiabema continued his red-hot form with his third goal in as many games to help Chelsea earn a share of the spoils in a Premier League 2 match against Leicester City at Leicester City Training Ground on Saturday evening.
The Norway U19 international broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute but Chelsea's lead lasted only five minutes as Marcal-Madivadua leveled things up for the Foxes.
This was Fiabema's sixth goal of the campaign at club level, scored in three different competitions, namely the UEFA Youth League, Papa John's Trophy and Premier League 2.
This month, the 18-year-old has scored seven goals for club and country - one each against Derby County U23s, Malmo U19s, Leicester City U23s, a hat-trick versus Kosovo and one against Wales in the European U19 Championship qualifiers.
It would have certainly been a career-best scoring streak for Fiabema, scoring in seven consecutive matches, but he missed a penalty when Norway U19s lost 1-0 to Georgia in the Euro qualifiers on October 12.
Belgian-Nigerian attacker Josh Eppiah started for the Foxes in this evening's clash against Chelsea and American-born goalkeeper Chituru Odunze was on the bench for the home team.
