PL 2: West Ham's Okoflex proving he's ripe for first team with brace against Man Utd
Former Arsenal schoolboy Armstrong Okoflex was the star of the show as West Ham United thrashed Manchester United 6-0 in a Premier League 2 clash at Rush Green Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Okoflex has been in blistering form for the Hammers' development side since his summer move from Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic; he bagged a brace and forced an own goal in the big win vs Manchester United.

On his competitive debut for West Ham in the Premier League 2, the Republic of Ireland U19 international of Nigerian descent netted an impressive hat-trick against his former employers Arsenal.

Okoflex, who trained with West Ham's senior side several times in pre-season, is demonstrating he's ripe for first team football with his goalscoring form, with his pair of goals today taking his tally for the season to seven in nine matches across all competitions.

Against the Red Devils U23s, the Irish-Nigerian winger converted a spot kick to open the scoring after four minutes, before his cross was deflected in by a Manchester United player as West Ham went into the break three-nil up.

Two minutes after the restart, Okoflex converted another penalty he won to make it 4-0, before late strikes from Sonny Perkins and Thierry Nevers made the scoreline more emphatic.

On this form, a first team debut could be on the horizon for Okoflex with the Hammers still involved in four competitions - Premier League, Carabao Cup, Europa League and Emirates FA Cup.
