Team of the Week honours for Glasgow Rangers rising star Bassey, Northampton's Koiki
Published: November 01, 20212021 Super Eagles invitee Calvin Bassey and Northampton Town fullback Ali Koiki have both been named in the Team of the Week for their respective divisions by football statistics website Whoscored.
Bassey bagged his third assist of the season in all competitions as Rangers came from behind to record an emphatic 6-1 win over Motherwell at Fir Park.
In a 4-4-2 formation, the Anglo-Italian-Nigerian defender was fielded as a left-back in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Week.
Against Motherwell in ninety minutes of action, the Leicester City academy product registered two shots, made one key pass, won three aerial duels, won three fouls while giving away one and was accurate in 77.6 percent of his passes.
Also a defender by trade, Koiki helped Northampton Town post their fourth consecutive clean sheet in the EFL League Two with a 3-0 success against Carlisle United at Sixfields Stadium.
The former Burnley youth teamer was deployed as a left-back in a 4-4-2 formation in the Team of the Week.
Koiki made two key passes, won two aerial duels, registered a game-high four dribbles, was fouled twice and conceded none, made two tackles, one interception and two clearances over the course of ninety minutes against the Blues.
