Nigerian-born midfielder scores first-ever goal for Arsenal Youth in 6-goal thriller vs Leicester
In one of the games of the season so far in the Premier League 2,  Arsenal recovered from three goals down to force Leicester City to a 3-3 draw at Shenley Training Centre in Hertfordshire on Saturday afternoon.

Nigerian-born midfielder Tim Akinola and Folarin Balogun started for the Gunners while James Olayinka and Joel Ideho entered the game as substitutes in the 69th and 75th minute respectively.

Leicester City's American-Nigerian goalkeeper Chituru Odunze was an unused substitute, as were Arsenal duo goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri and winger Nathan Bulter-Oyedeji.

The Gunners were trailing by three goals deep into stoppage time after Pennant, Maswanhise and Nelson had found the back of the net for the Foxes in the space of seventeen second half minutes.

Akinola thought it was only a consolation when he pulled a goal back in the first minute of stoppage time.

For all the rave reviews he has received since switching to the north London club from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2020, it was his first-ever goal at any level for Arsenal.

Arsenal shocked Leicester City again when Omari Hutchinson made it 3-2 in the 93rd minute, and Balogun equalised in the 96th minute.

Arsenal lead the way in the Premier League 2 standings with 23 points from eleven matches, one point more than West Ham United.
