2022 WCQ : Nigeria's starting lineup against Cape Verde worth N80.58 billion
Published: November 16, 2021The starting lineup selected by manager Gernot Rohr for Tuesday evening's 2022 World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde is worth €173.1 million (equivalent of N80.58 billion in Nigerian currency), according to the latest valuation by Transfermarkt.
The most valuable player in the starting lineup is Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, an honour he shares with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
The least valuable player player in the squad is none other than Leon Balogun who is rated at €0.8 million.
It should be noted that the 33-year-old Balogun will enter the final six months of his contract at Rangers in January and another factor that contributed to his low valuation is his age.
The most valuable center back in the squad is Boavista loanee Chidozie Awaziem at five million euros while Troost-Ekong has a valuation of four million euros.
Moses Simon who has been in superb form this season is valued at nine million euros and fellow wing-back Collins is rated at €1.3 million.
Alex Iwobi, the third most valuable player in the starting lineup, is worth €22m, while Joe Aribo, Odion Ighalo and goalkeeper Maduka Ookoye are valued at €6.5m, €3.5m and €1m respectively.
