The Hundred for 2022: Hammarby's Amoo joins Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd stars in prestigious list
Published: December 23, 2021Former Nigeria U17 international Akinkunmi Amoo has been named among the one hundred players to look out for in 2022.
The Hundred have published a list of one hundred young, male footballers that they believe are the most exciting on the planet right now with the Hammarby winger and Bayern Munich loanee Joshua Zirkzee the only Nigeria-eligible players making the cut.
To be eligible for inclusion in the prestigious list, players must be born on or after January 1, 2000.
Some of the outstanding young talents in the world got the nod including Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour (both owned by Chelsea), Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and William Saliba (Arsenal), Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood (Manchester United).
Barcelona trio Gavi, Pedri and SergiƱo Dest plus Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland and Giovanni Reyna are also included on the list.
The 2002-born Amoo impressed in his first full season in the Swedish Allsvenskan, netting nine goals while providing five assists in 29 appearances.
The Sidos Academy product is being monitored by clubs in the Premier League ahead of the January transfer window.
