The Super Falcons boast some of the best attackers in the modern women's game, and the talent pool never seems to run dry as a new name has emerged from the NCAA Women's South-Easterm Conference.

Meet Chidubem Dike, a talented young forward with Nigerian roots, who's plays for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.

Born to Nigerian parents Jude and Uchenna Dike in Greenville, South Carolina, Dubem is a native of the Palmetto State.

Growing up, she developed a passion for soccer, and her parents encouraged her to pursue her dreams.

Dubem's soccer journey began at Greenville Technical Charter High School, where she was a four-year letter winner and scored an impressive 55 goals.

Her outstanding performance earned her the title of Player of the Year in the region.

At the club level, Dubem played for CESA ECNL under the guidance of coach Andrew Hyslop.

Her skills on the field didn't go unnoticed, as she was named to the First Team All-Conference for the ECNL 2020-21 season.

She was also invited to play in the ECNL National Selection Game in Greer, South Carolina, where she scored the opening goal.

As a highly rated prospect, Dubem was ranked among the top 50 players in the nation for the class of 2022 in 2018-19. Her impressive resume caught the attention of top colleges, and she eventually chose to attend Wake Forest University.

In her freshman year at Wake Forest, Dubem played in two matches, logging 31 minutes on the field.

Although her playing time was limited, she gained valuable experience and prepared herself for the challenges ahead.

The following year, Dubem transferred to the University of South Carolina, where she had a breakout season.

She made 18 appearances in 21 games, scoring her first career goal in a 6-0 win over Jacksonville. Dubem finished the season with a career-high 12 shots, six of which were on goal.

As a sophomore, Dubem's playing time increased significantly, and she logged a career-high 41 minutes in a 5-0 win over Coastal Carolina.

She also made appearances in all three post-season matches, demonstrating her growth and maturity as a player.

A criminal justice major, she is uncapped by the United States national teams at any level. Therefore, she does not require a nationality switch to don the green and white jersey of the record African champions.
