Watford provide update on two Super Eagles stars ahead of trip to Burnley
Through their official website, Watford have provided an update on two Nigeria internationals William Troost-Ekong and Oghenekaro Etebo before their trip to Turf Moor, where they face Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday, February 5.

Troost-Ekong is one of three Hornets players who have returned from international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations over the past week.

The Dutch-born center-back and Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi were the only players to have gone the distance in all the matches contested by the Super Eagles before they exited the ongoing tournament in Cameroon.

Troost-Ekong has been involved in sixteen of the 20 matches played by Watford in the top-flight this season and missed their last two games due to international commitments at the AFCON.

Meanwhile, Oghenekaro Etebo has re-joined training and will be further assessed over the coming days with a view to manager Roy Hodgson selecting the midfielder in the matchday squad to face the Clarets.

The Stoke City loanee has not kicked a ball in a competitive fixture since picking up a torn quad muscle injury against Newcastle United on September 25, leading to his omission from Nigeria's AFCON squad.

Prior to his spell on the sidelines, Etebo recorded six appearances in the Premier League, including four starts.
