Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria international Samson Tijani remains in contention to make his UEFA Champions League debut tonight when Salzburg trade tackles with Bayern Munich at Stadion Salzburg.
Ahead of the historic match for the Austrian champions - their first outing in the knockout rounds of the Champions League - head coach of Salzburg, Matthias Jaissle put the players through their paces on Tuesday, with Tijani taking part in the session.
If the final workout is anything to go by, the Super Eagles midfielder is set to be included in the matchday 23 but it is looking likely that he will start on the bench considering that he has yet to make his full competitive debut for Salzburg ever since he was temporarily promoted to the first team.
Tijani is knocking on the first team door after making a good impression on manager Jaissle during Salzburg's winter training camp.
In his first appearance for Salzburg in the OFB Cup, the 2019 Golden Eaglets captain spent one minute on the pitch after coming off the bench, and then logged sixteen minutes when he made his Bundesliga debut vs Rapid Vienna last Friday.
Bayern Munich are expected to be without cap-tied Germany international of Nigerian descent Jamal Musiala and center back Bryan Okoh certainly misses out for Salzburg as he is still recovering from a long-term injury.
