Chelsea loanee Anjorin nearing debut for Huddersfield Town after update from Spanish tactician
Published: March 01, 2022Chelsea-owned attacking midfielder Faustino Anjorin is nearing a debut for Huddersfield Town, according to the latest update provided by the Terriers Spanish football tactician Carlos Corberan.
The England U20 international of Nigerian descent has not played for the Terriers since his loan move on transfer deadline day last month because he was rehabbing from a broken metatarsal.
Anjorin has missed the last seven games contested by Huddersfield Town and returned to Canalside last Monday to continue his rehab programme with Huddersfield Town.
It has now been confirmed that the Anglo-Nigerian will resume full training with his teammates this week ahead of the upcoming Championship clash with Peterborough United.
"Next week Tino is going to start training normally with the group and this is another bit of fantastic news, because for me the more players we add now to the squad, the more strong we can be to face every single game," Corberan was quoted as saying by Yorkshire Post after the win vs Birmingham on Saturday.
Anjorin spent the first half of the season at Lokomotiv Moscow, for whom he made nine appearances in all competitions and scored one goal.
