Report : Napoli outline plan for Osimhen amid links with Manchester United and Newcastle United
Published: March 02, 2022Napoli have reportedly outlined a plan for Victor Osimhen amid speculation linking the striker with possible moves to Manchester United and Newcastle United.
According to Area Napoli, president of Napoli, Aurelio De Laurentiis is not thinking of selling Osimhen in the summer except the club receive a monster bid, thought to be in the region of 100 million euros, too good to turn down.
And if that were to happen, it would mark a significant profit on the 70 million euros the Blues shelled out to sign him from Lille in the summer of 2020.
Napoli's plan is for Osimhen to spend at least one more season in the Italian top-flight before thinking about moving onto pastures new.
Manchester United are on the lookout for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo and they are also facing a similar issue with Uruguay marksman Edinson Cavani, who is out of contract in the summer.
Newcastle United were prepared to meet Napoli's asking price for Osimhen in the January transfer window but the Super Eagle rejected the move for sporting reasons.
For the fourth straight season, the 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner has reached double figures for goals.
