Contract length of seven Nigeria-eligible players revealed as Chelsea banned from renewing deals
According to various reports in the English press including The Sun, European champions Chelsea have been banned from all transfer-related activity, including handing out new contracts to their players.

The UK Government confirmed on Thursday that Roman Abramovich  has had his assets frozen, preventing the sale of the club to potential bidders.

Allnigeriasoccer.com takes a look at the Nigeria-eligible players on the books of Chelsea including scholars and young professionals and the date their contracts expire in the wake of the latest development.

The good news is that all the players of Nigerian descent will not be out of job in the summer as they are contracted to the Blues beyond the end of the 2021-2022 campaign.

1) Faustino Anjorin : The England U20 international is currently on loan at Championship outfit Huddersfield Town. The attacking midfielder signed a new deal in 2020, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2025.

2) Bryan Fiabema : The striker joined Rosenborg on loan this month. He is tied to Chelsea until 2023, having signed a professional contract in February, 2020.

3) Prince Adegoke : 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Adegoke inked his first pro deal in November 2020. The goalkeeper remains contracted to the Stamford Bridge outfit until June 30, 2023.

4) Derrick Abu : The attacking fullback was rewarded with a first pro deal in January 2021. His deal expires on June 30, 2023.

5) Richard Olise : Started the season as a first-year scholar before turning professional in September. The fullback is tied to Chelsea until June 30, 2024.

6) Louis Flower : Inked his first professional contract in October 2021, a deal that keeps the striker at Chelsea until June 30, 2024.

7) Tudor Mendel-Idowu : The left-footed winger is on a scholarship deal at the Blues. The agreement runs out on June 30, 2023.
