Former Crystal Palace star offers his view on incident involving 'big' Arsenal CB and Iheanacho
Published: March 15, 2022Former Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison has offered his view on the incident involving Arsenal's Brazilian central defender Gabriel Magalhães and Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho during the first half of the Premier League meeting between both teams at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
Around the half hour mark, Iheanacho was brandished a yellow card for flicking his hand towards Gabriel's face.
After a review by the video assistant referee, the Nigeria international was allowed to stay on the pitch.
Morrison has accused Gabriel of overreacting in the incident with the Leicester City number 14, labeling the Brazilian a 'big center-half'.
"In our day and age, someone like Alan Shearer would have give Gabriel something like that every game," Morrison said on BBC Radio 5 Live during the game.
"Come on, a big centre-half and he goes down like that. He has made a meal of that."
The Manchester City academy product has never been sent off after 264 matches as a professional for club and country.
