Social : How three Super Eagles stars reacted to Rangers reaching Europa League final
Published: May 07, 2022Three Super Eagles stars Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey have taken to social media to react to Glasgow Rangers reaching the Europa League final.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side were 1-0 down after the away leg of the semifinal but got the job done by beating RB Leipzig 3-1 at the Ibrox Stadium courtesy of goals from James Tavernier, Glen Kamara and John Lundstram.
Bassey put in a full shift and Aribo was forced off injured on the stroke of halftime after he was felled by a powerful free-kick by Angeliño.
Balogun, who is familiar with German football having represented six German clubs in his pro career before coming to Rangers, came off the bench to replace Ryan Jack around the hour mark.
Rangers will now face another German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt in Sevilla on May 18 to decide who lifts the 13th edition of Europe's secondary club tournament since it was renamed the Europa League.
