Reading provide updates on future of four Nigerian players including Olympic Eagles midfielder

Through their official website, Championship club Reading have provided updates on the future of four players of Nigerian descent at the club.

Femiz Azeez, the elder brother of Arsenal midfielder Miguel, has been offered a new deal that would see him remain at the Select Car Leasing Stadium for at least one more season if he signs on the dotted line.

Nigeria U23 international midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has returned to parent club Watford following the end of his loan deal.

The Manchester City academy product appeared in 38 league matches over the course of the 2021-2022 season, scoring four goals and registering two assists.

Regarding their academy teams, a new professional contract has been offered to central defender Nelson Abbey.

The 18-year-old's only appearance for the first team in the recently concluded season was against Swansea City in the first round of the Carabao Cup back in August.

A new pro deal has also been offered to another Anglo-Nigerian teenager in Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, who made his senior debut against the Swans in the Carabao Cup.
