Two former Arsenal stars, Chelsea and Tottenham products, 9 others report for Super Eagles duty
Published: May 26, 2022Thirteen players called up for the upcoming international friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador have reported for international duty in the United States, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Two former Arsenal players Alex Iwobi and Semi Ajayi, and Chelsea academy product Ola Aina arrived together from the United Kingdom.
The other foreign-based players in camp are Tottenham Hotspur product William Troost-Ekong and Nantes winger Moses Simon.
The delegation from Nigeria which had the home-based players, backroom staff and coaches are also in camp.
Goalkeepers Adewale Adeyinka (Akwa United) and Ojo Olorunleke (Enyimba), Ibrahim Buhari (Plateau United), Ishaq Rafiu and Chiamaka Madu (both Rivers United), Victor Mbaoma (Enyimba), Sanni (Katsina United) and Bello (Akwa United) are the Nigerian Professional Football League stars.
The officials in camp include head coach Jose Peseiro George Finidi George, Usman Abdallah,Ike Shorunmu, Salisu Yusuf, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos,Vitor Hugo and Eboboritse Uwejamomere.
The Super Eagles will hold their first training session at 1800 hours local time in Dallas, Texas under the tutelage of Portuguese football tactician Peseiro.
