Peseiro sweats over the fitness of two Super Eagles players ahead of AFCONQ

Jose Peseiro is sweating over the fitness of two Super Eagles players ahead of his first competitive game as manager of the national team, a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone at the MKO National Stadium in Abuja.

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis and Lorient combative midfielder Innocent Bonke did not train fully with the Super Eagles squad during Monday evening's workout at the training pitch of the National Stadium.

Dennis and Bonke were spotted jogging around the stadium as the rest of the Super Eagles players participated in more rigorous activities on the pitch.

The Hornets star had an injury issue at the tail end of the 2021-2022 season that saw him miss the last three Premier League games against Everton, Leicester City and Chelsea.

As for Bonke, he suffered an injury during the first half of Nigeria's 2-1 loss to Mexico nine days ago, leading to his substitution at half time and was omitted from the matchday squad for the most recent game against Ecuador.

Rangers duo Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey, who didn't take part in the first workout on Sunday, have reported for international duty and trained without limitations on Monday.
