Nigeria's confirmed starting XI : Rangers duo, Chelsea & Arsenal products, Chukwueze, Osimhen start
Published: June 09, 2022Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has announced his starting lineup for Thursday evening's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sierra Leone at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Allnigeriasoccer.com's prediction on the likely players to start the game is spot-on as Peseiro has picked exactly the same players and formation.
A caveat : Moses Simon is in this starting lineup. Has actually been training with the 'reserve team' and was unarguably their standout player. Peseiro used Lookman in the Team A. https://t.co/MKVgOVXD9a

Hapoel Jerusalem glovesman Adebayo Adeleye has to wait for his full debut as the Portuguese football tactician has selected Francis Uzoho to be in between the pipes for the third consecutive game.
Peseiro has opted for William Troost-Ekong and former Arsenal youth team skipper in central defence, in a decision that sees Kenneth Omeruo start on the bench.
As expected, Calvin Bassey has been preferred to Porto's Zaidu Sanusi at left-back and Chelsea academy product Ola Aina takes up the right-back slot.
It will be Rangers ace Joe Aribo and Hale End academy product Alex Iwobi in the center of midfield.
Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Umar Sadiq and Victor Osimhen occupy the forward positions.
The Super Eagles starting lineup to face Sierra Leone is as follows : Uzoho, Aina, Troost-Ekong, Ajayi, Bassey, Aribo, Iwobi, Chukwueze, Simon, Sadiq, Osimhen
Substitutes : Adeleye, Adeyinka, Dennis, Musa, Sanusi, Omeruo, Moffi, Dessers, Lookman, Shehu, Onyeka, Etebo
