'Victor is strong' - Ex-Liverpool and Manchester City striker Balotelli hails Osimhen
Published: July 28, 2022SSC Napoli continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-2 draw against Turkish Super Lig club Adana Demirspor on Wednesday, July 27.
Three Nigerian players were on parade at Stadio Teofilo Patini (Castel di Sangro), with Victor Osimhen starting for the Italian team, while strikers Babajide David and Henry Onyekuru went the distance for Adana Demirspor.
The marquee player on parade for Adana Demirspor was cap-tied Italy international of Ghanaian descent Mario Balotelli, well known for his spell in the Premier League with Manchester City and Liverpool.
After rubbing shoulders with Osimhen during and after the game, Balotelli had kind words to say about the Nigeria international.
Osimhen and Balotelli have known each other for a while and follow each other on social media platform Instagram.
In quotes related by Il Mattino, Balotelli stated : "Victor is very strong, a train. I am very well, physically I am very well".
Napoli scored through Lozano and a Cokcalis own goal, while Balotelli and Sari found the net for Adana Demirspor in the second half.
Osimhen opened his pre-season account in a 10-0 rout of Anaune, but fired blanks in his next two games against Perugia and Adana Demirspor.
