One key stat that highlights Osimhen's impressive start to the 2022-2023 season
Published: August 23, 2022Celebrated football statistics website Whoscored has highlighted Napoli star Victor Osimhen's impressive start to the 2022-2023 campaign by using a key statistic.
The Nigeria national teamer has mustered fifteen shots in his first two games in the Serie A, one more than the entire Juventus team, who had played only one game in the topflight as at the time they compiled the report.
For the first time in his professional career, Osimhen has managed to score in each of his first two league games.
The 2015 U17 World Cup winner has helped Napoli register back-to-back wins in the division, with victories over Verona and new boys Monza.
Of the fifteen shots he has played, two of them resulted in goals and he has provided one assist, taking his goal involvement to three this term.
