U25 players : Osimhen third-best target man shooter behind Chelsea, CA Mineiro stars
Published: September 12, 2022According to a research by CIES Football Observatory, Victor Osimhen has been ranked amongst the most impactful U25 players worldwide - players born or after September 12, 1997.
In the technical profile 'target man shooter', the Napoli star was ranked third with a score of 93.3.
Only Chelsea striker Kai Havertz (94.3) and CA Mineiro's Matías Zaracho's (93.4) ranked higher than the Nigeria international.
Ferran Torres (Barcelona) is in fourth place followed by Darwin Núñez (Liverpool) and Julián Álvarez (Manchester City).
Completing the top ten are Tammy Abraham (AS Roma), Matheus Cunha (Atlético Madrid), Dušan Vlahovic (Juventus) and Evanilson de Lima (FC Porto).
The Impact Score is an exclusive CIES Football Observatory’s metrics developed to assess players’ sporting achievement and potential.
It is calculated by taking into consideration the average match level in which players participated according to the experience capital method, official game minutes played over the last 365 days, as well as pitch performance compared to both teammates, opponents and same profile’s players.
The study covers 59 leagues around the world, but primarily in Europe.
Since September 11, 2021, Osimhen has participated in 30 matches in the Italian top flight, scoring sixteen goals and registering six assists.
