Dipo Akinyemi's prolific start to the season has not gone unnoticed by English Football League clubs
According to Football League World, Bradford City, Burton Albion, Leyton Orient, and Morecambe are all keen on the Ayr United striker.
Akinyemi is the leading scorer in the Scottish Championship with ten goals, twice as many as second placed Robbie Muirhead (Greenock Morton) and Simon Murray (Queen's Park) who are on five goals, and the Nigerian has played a game less than the the two players.
The 25-year-old has either scored or assisted in seven of his last eight matches in the division and the highlight of his performance was his hat-trick against Queen's Park this past weekend.
Akinyemi joined Ayr United in the summer transfer window on a two-year deal after catching the eye at Welling United, for whom he scored 16 goals in 37 appearances in the National League South over the course of the 2021-2022 season.
He has also played for Potters Bar Town, Stevenage, Dulwich Hamlet and Braintree Town in the past.
