African football guru expects Napoli to evaluate offers for Super Eagles striker next summer
Published: November 21, 2022African football guru Malu Mpasinkatu expects Napoli to evaluate offers for Victor Osimhen once the 2022-2023 season comes to an end.
Several Premier League clubs are keen to pounce on the Nigeria international but the stumbling block to deal is the striker's asking price, with Napoli valuing him in excess of 100 million euros.
Osimhen has been lethal in front of goal when in tiptop condition this season, scoring nine goals in eleven appearances - more than any other player in the Italian Serie A.
Mpasinkatu revealed that the Super Eagles star wants to help Napoli win the Scudetto this season, meaning a transfer in the January transfer window is not feasible.
Asked if Osimhen could leave Napoli in the summer, he told Tuttomercatoweb.com : "For me, he's focused on making Napoli history.
"If he wins the Scudetto at the end of the year, we'll see what happens. In Naples he has found his dimension, there is an important African community in Naples and for this reason he feels at home.
"If offers will arrive at the end of the year beyond any logic, they will evaluate".
Napoli are topping the Serie A table with 41 points accumulated, eight more than second-placed AC Milan.
