Done deal : Nigeria international striker completes move to Liga F club UDG Tenerife
Published: December 11, 2022Nigeria international striker Gift Monday has completed her move to UD Granadilla Tenerife, the Spanish Liga F club have announced on their official website.
The duration and financial details of the deal have not been disclosed by the Canary Islands outfit.
Monday lists COD United Amazons and Robo Queens among her previous clubs.
The 21-year-old was a member of the Super Falcons squad that reached the semifinals of the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, and also represented Nigeria at the 2018 U20 Women's World Cup.
In her first words as a player of UD Granadilla Tenerife, Monday told the club's official website : "My first days have been very good, the welcome has been very nice and I am very happy to be here.
"I am a player who makes a team, with a lot of sacrifice. I really want to be able to debut and I'm at the coach's disposal”.
For the remainder of the 2022-2023 season, Monday will wear the number 24 at the back of her jersey.
She is in contention to make her competitive debut for UD Granadilla Tenerife when they take on Levante Las Planas on Sunday afternoon.
