Super Eagles best starting XI post-AFCONQ : Forwards including Osimhen, Chukwueze, Simon

The wingers and strikers are tasked with the responsibility of providing and scoring the goals for teams at football games.

In this piece we look at the Super Eagles forwards on whose shoulders lie our hopes for the goals against every opposition.

The criteria used to come up with this lineup are as usual current form, versatility, leadership, creativity and passion for the Nigerian jersey.

Forwards

Samuel Chukwueze

Villarreal of Spain winger Samuel Chukwueze is undoubtedly a very good player. He is not called the 'African Robben' for nothing.

On current form, he remains Nigeria's best option from the right wing despite his not-so- super performance against Guinea.

Supporters who expressed reservations about his games against Guinea-Bissau should consider that as one of those days where things were not so great in the office.

Moses Simon

The temptation here was to tuck in Ademola Lookman on the left side of the attack due to his impressive form at Atalanta in the Serie A.

That form though seems to have plummeted but he is a quality player and one that is capable of doing damage to an opposition defence.

However, in Simon there is a hybrid of attacking and defensive nous in there and one that understands the national team better at the moment than his international teammate.

Should the coach's plan be to go attacking and not conservative, Lookman looks the better choice though.

Victor Osimhen

The Napoli hitman is a goal machine and unarguably one of the best center forwards in the world at the moment, arguably in the top five bracket.

Osimhen may not have have sparkled in the games against Guinea-Bissau but with their backs pushed against the wall in the AFCON qualifiers, expect the former Lille striker to possibly lit up the team in the last two qualifying games.

In Osimhen's case, there is not much words needed. He is class.
