OGC Nice star Moffi nominated for Europa Conference League GOTW and POTW
Published: April 14, 2023
Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi starred in Nice's 2-2 draw against Basel in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League quarter-final at St.Jakob-Park on Thursday.
Moffi scored Nice's two goals one of which included an incredible bicycle kick, which has earned him nominations for the UEFA Conference League Player of the Week and Goal of the Week Awards.
To win the Player of the Week, Moffi will have to beat off competition from Basel's Zeki Amdouni, who also got a brace against Nice and Alessio Castro-Montes who shone for Gent in the 1-1 draw with West Ham United.
The last nominee is Nikola Milenković, the only defender on the list who was impressive for Fiorentina in the 4-1 win against Lech Poznan.
The Nice forward will battle with Hugo Cuypers, who showed his good feet before netting Gent's equalising goal against Westham, Jonathan Ikone's solo effort for Fiorentina against Lech Poznan and Majeed Ashimeru's effort from the edge of the box for Anderlecht against AZ Alkmaar for the Goal of the Wee award.
Moffi has registered three goals in three appearances in the Europa Conference League.
The Lorient-owned player, who transferred to Nice on loan in the January transfer window with an obligation to buy, has directly participated in nine goal in eleven appearances for The Eaglets.
