Di Marzio reveals Chelsea, Man Utd are the only two clubs in the PL that can try to get Osimhen
Published: May 11, 2023Fabrizio Romano's mentor and Italian transfer market specialist, Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that only two clubs in the Premier League Chelsea and Manchester United will attempt to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.
Bayern Munich were in the race for the Nigeria international but the leadership of the German Bundesliga champions consider the striker's valuation of 150 million euros (approximately N76 billion in Nigerian currency) too excessive.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is looking to bolster his attack in the summer after losing Cristiano Ronaldo while Wout Weghorst could be retuning to his parent club Burnley, and one of the Red Devils' main target is Osimhen.
Chelsea have had well-documented issues in attack this season and have Osimhen on their radar.
According to Di Marzio, the other European powerhouse in the fight for the signature of the Napoli number 9 is Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Di Marzuo said: "Aurelio De Laurentiis wants 150m euros for Osimhen It's a request, an initial request then I think 120m plus bonuses, 130m plus bonuses can by enough, but I think that the only two clubs in the Premier League that can try to get Victor Osimhen are Chelsea and Manchester United.
"In Ligue 1 Paris Saint-Germain. I think Bayern is out of this race because Bayern doesn't spend 120m, 130m for a player.
"They want to put a player in the deal but De Laurentiis doesn't want players in the deal. I think Osimhen will be the player in the next transfer market that will break every record, and could be the right season for him to go the Premier League. He's incredible."
Osimhen has scored 94 goals and contributed 24 assists across 171 matches combined at RSC Charleroi, Lille and Napoli.
The 24-year-old has approximately two years left on his contract with 2022-2023 Italian champions Napoli.
