Ex-Flying Eagles striker to sign 4-year deal, subject to Montpellier agreeing terms with LSK
Published: July 29, 2023Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that French Ligue 1 club Montpellier continue to thrash out terms with Norwegian outfit Lillestrom over the signing of Nigerian striker Akor Adams.
Adams is having a banner season at LSK, scoring fifteen goals in fifteen league appearances to top the scoring charts in the 2023 Eliteserien.
Having put himself in the shop window, the former Flying Eagles star attracted interest from some Championship clubs including Watford as well as teams in Belgium and Germany.
This website can report with certainty that the 23-year-old goal poacher will not be joining Watford as Montpellier are set to win the race for his signature.
Montpellier are in advanced talks with Lillestrom over the signing of Akor but a club-to-club agreement is not fully in place as of now.
Subject to the two clubs reaching an agreement, Akor will head to France to put pen to paper on a four-year contract that will keep him at La Paillade until June 30, 2027.
The Jamba Football Academy product has a contract with Lillestrom until the end of next season.
