KSA 2 Nigeria 2: Iheanacho on target, Boniface forces OG as Super Eagles concede late to draw with Green Falcons

Nigeria played out a 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in an international friendly on Friday evening at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão.

The Super Eagles started the game in their usual 4-4-2 formation with  José Peseiro making four changes to the team that started against São Tomé and Príncipe.

Victor Boniface was handed his first-ever start, Tyronne Ebuehi started in place of Ola Aina while Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi returned to the starting XI.

Nigeria started the game brightly and should have taken the lead in the first half with the chances they created.

Peseiro was forced to make his first change of the game close to the hour mark as Victor Osimhem had to come off due to an injury was replaced by Terem Moffi.

Salman Al Faraj broke the deadlock in the 61st minute with a free kick to give Saudi Arabia the lead.

The Super Eagles drew level  through an own goal from   Abdulelah Al Amri having been forced to turn the ball into the net by Boniface.

Kelechi Iheanacho gave Nigeria the lead in the 81st minute but another free kick in the 10th minute of the additional time from Mohamed Kano will deny the three-time African champions victory.
