Nigeria were held to a 2-2 draw by Saudi Arabia in an international friendly encounter on Friday evening.

Allnigeriasoccer.com runs the rule over the Super Eagles players at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão.

The starters

Goalkeeper

Francis Uzoho: Was comfortable with the ball at his feet, made some good contributions of the ball, and showed alertness to deny Saudi Arabia only one shot on goal in the first half.

However, his match rustiness was evident in the second half as he was culpable for the first goal and should have done better with the free kick in stoppage time. 4/10

Defenders

Tyronne Ebuehi: He did pretty well defensively winning most of his ground and aerial duels. Created a good opportunity in the first half but should be doing better offensively 6/10

Semi Ajayi: The West Brom centre-back played the ball well from the back and his long balls were spot-on. However, he needs to be doing better with his tackles as he didn't look comfortable when he was confronted by the Saudi Arabian attackers 5.5/10

Calvin Bassey: Physically dominant and was the better of the two centre backs though gave away some silly fouls. A much better outing from the Fulham defender  6/10

Bruno Onyemaechi: He was defensively okay as he won most of his duels but can do better in the attacking third.  6/10

Midfielders

Wilfred Ndidi: A key member of the team. The Leicester City midfielder had a good first half as he was always in the right place at the right time to nick the danger away.  7/10

Alex Iwobi: Was responsible for Nigeria dictating the pace of the game in the first half but not much was seen from him offensively. 6/10

Samuel Chukwueze:  Had a good chance to score in the first half but fluffed his lines. He carved a good chance for Lookman close to the end of the second half but the latter couldn't utilize it. Needs to do better. 5/10

Ademola Lookman: Missed two good chances in the first half and was poor with his final passes. Showed some understanding with Onyemaechi but should have gotten at least a goal in the game. 5/10

Forwards

Victor Boniface: Started the game brightly but faded off at some point. Played a part in Nigeria's first goal in what was a decent first start for the Super Eagles for the Bayer Leverkusen striker 5.5/10.

Victor Osimhen: He was lively yet again, dropping deep to link up with Tyronne Ebuehi and Samuel Chukwueze in the right flank. He was unfortunate to have come off the pitch due to injury. 6/10

The substitutes

Terem Moffi: The Nice forward came in for Osimhen and was very much active when he came on playing like a man with a point to prove 5/10

Kelechi Iheanacho: Got himself on the scoresheet and put in a very good shift when he came on. Unfortunate not to have grabbed the headlines for scoring the winner 8.5/10

Moses Simon: He did way better than Lookman whom he replaced and it his cross that led to the first goal. 7/10

Bright Osayi-Samuel: Came on for Ebuehi and was decent in carrying out his duties. 5.5/10

Joe Aribo: Had nothing to offer and got yellow carded. 5/10

Umar Sadiq: The Real Sociedad forward didn't make a good case for himself when he came on. 3.5/10
