'All the best to them' - RSA marquee player Percy Tau wishes success to Super Eagles ahead of AFCON final

Bafana Bafana marquee player and reigning African Inter-Club Player of the Year, Percy Tau has wished the Super Eagles success ahead of Sunday's Africa Cup of Nations final.
In a dramatic semifinal clash at the Stade de la Paix, Bouaké on Wednesday, the Super Eagles made it through to the final in nail-biting fashion after a 4-2 win on penalties against South Africa.
Victor Osimhen thought he had doubled the advantage for Nigeria with five minutes left on the clock but the goal was canceled and a penalty awarded to the South Africans after a VAR check.
Osimhen's goal did not stand because second half substitute Alhassan Yusuf clearly fouled Percy Tau in the build-up.
One of the individual duels in the intriguing clash saw Nigeria's left wing-back Ola Aina battle Percy Tau and the Bafana Bafana number 10 had a good game against arguably the best wing-back in the tournament.
Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone after the encounter against the Super Eagls, Tau said: "It's sad right now. It doesn't matter how we played, it would have been nice if we won this one and we have the chances.
"Congratulations to Nigeria and all the best to them in the final. We'll go again and try for the third place. Hopefully we will take something home."
Ronwen Williams - the hero for Bafana Bafana in their shootout win against Cape Verde in the quarterfinals - was unable to save any of the spot kicks he faced.
"He tried his best to save some of the penalties but sometimes it happens that it's not your day. He saved us the last time and we're still happy with him. Congratulations to Nigeria," Tau added.
Tau, who scored in his first appearance against the Super Eagles back in 2017, has now lost in two matches in a row against the three-time champions at the Africa Cup of Nations.
