Super Eagles watch: Dessers nets brace for table-topping Rangers; Watford's Dennis back-to-back home goals
Published: February 24, 2024Allnigeriasoccer.com rounds up Super Eagles players on the score sheet across several European Leagues in games played on Saturday afternoon.
Cyriel Dessers netted a brace as Rangers walloped Hearts 5-0 in a Scottish Premiership fixture played at the Ibrox Stadium.
He bagged his first at minute 43, putting the ball into the back of the net from Souttar's cross to give the home side a three-goal cushion.
Two minutes into the second half, the 29-year-old showed alertness to give the Light Blues a four-goal lead, taking advantage of a goalmouth scramble.
Elsewhere, Emmanuel Dennis was on target for Watford as they lost 2-1 to Huddersfield on matchday 34 of the English Championship at the Vicarage Road.
The Nigeria international got his name on the scoresheet in the 56th minute, putting the ball home from Yáser Asprilla's pass.
Dennis's strike against the Terriers meant he has now scored in back-to-back home games for the first time since returning to Vicarage Road on a loan deal in the January transfer window.
