Report: Everton table an offer to sign to Super Eagles midfielder ahead of summer transfer window

Premier League club Everton have reportedly firmed up their interest in Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.

According to transfer market reporter Sacha Tavolieri, Ndidi has received a proposal from the Toffees, who are looking to steal a march on other admirers of the box-to-box midfielder.

Several clubs are interested in the Super Eagles star but he has yet to choose his next destination in the event that he departs the King Power Stadium at season's end.

West Ham, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are all rumored to be interested in the former Racing Genk ace, who has played nonstop at Leicester City for more than seven years, having joined the club in January 2017.

Ndidi has roughly two months left on his contract with Leicester City and his situation has alerted some of the top European clubs, with Barcelona and Juventus also credited with an interest in the Nath Boys product.

It's now up to Ndidi whether to accept the offer from Everton, or choose more financially rewarding offers.

He boasts a wealth of experience in the Premier League, making 192 appearances in the English top-flight for the Foxes.

Only Shola Ameobi, Kanu, Yakubu, Alex Iwobi, John Obi Mikel, Joseph Yobo, Victor Moses, Victor Anichebe and Kelechi Iheanacho have managed more appearances than Ndidi in the top-flight among Nigerian players.

Ndidi has excelled this season, operating in a more advanced midfield position, which has led to his involvement in twelve goals across 35 appearances in all competitions.
