Bayer Leverkusen striker Boniface named in Bundesliga Team of the Season alongside Musiala, Kane

The Nigeria international adapted like a duck to water in Germany following his move from Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise, playing an influential role as Bayer Leverkusen won the title for the first time in their history..
Despite missing eleven matches due to an injury he suffered during Nigeria's pre-Africa Cup of Nations training camp in the United Arab Emirates, he is Bayer Leverkusen's joint top scorer in the Bundesliga.
Boniface has mustered eleven goals from twenty appearances in the division and has nine assists to his name.
The Team of the Season contained six Bayer Leverkusen players namely Jeremie Frimpong, Jonathan Tah, Alejandro Grimaldo, Granit Xhaka, Florian Wirtz and Boniface.
Tottenham Hotspur and England legend Harry Kane, and onetime Nigeria Football Federation target Jamal Musiala are the Bayern Munich representatives.
