Speaking ahead of the U18 Premier League national final, England U18 international of Nigerian descent, Tyrique George has named Eden Hazard and Cole Palmer as his favourite Chelsea players past and present.

Chelsea are mathematically out of contention to qualify for next season's UEFA Youth League via their position in the Premier League as they trial fourth-placed Aston Villa by ten points with two games to the end of the season.

However, the Blues will absolutely guarantee their place in the competition if they beat Manchester United U18s in the national final on Tuesday, May 14 at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea secured top spot in the U18 Premier League standings, southern section following a 2-1 win over Southampton last Tuesday, with George going the distance.

George is considered one of the best youth team players at Chelsea, so much so that he has been invited to train with the first team on multiple occasions this season.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has included him in three out of the last six Premier League matchday squads, but he has not yet made his debut for the first team.

"My name is Tyrique George. I can play left wing or central attack midfield. I have been at the academy since the age of eight, for about ten years," George said to Chelsea's official webpage

"Playing for Chelsea is great, just love it being here every day."

On his favourite Chelsea players past and present, he said: "Growing up, probably Hazard, skillful, joy to watch. Currently it has to be Cole Palmer, he scores a lot of goals.

"It will be great to win the National League, go into the UEFA Youth League."

In March, Cole Palmer became the first Chelsea player to score in five straight Premier League home matches since Eden Hazard.

George has registered fifteen goal involvements in thirteen U18 Premier League matches this season.
