Promising forward Ajayi wins PL2 playoff final with Tottenham Hotspur

The 18-year-old hopped off the bench in the second minute of stoppage time to replace Tyrese Hall as Tottenhem Hotspur defeated Sunderland 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Sunderland's Belgium youth international of Nigerian descent Trey Samuel-Ogunsuyi was in action for the entire duration of the game.

Ajayi was part of the Tottenham Hotspur squad that won the U17 and U18 Premier League Cup double in 2022-2023, and appeared in six league matches for the U21s in the regular season.
The 18-year-old mustered sixteen goals and registered eight assists across the U18 Premier League, Premier League 2 and FA Youth Cup over the course of the 2023-2024 campaign.
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Kelechi Chibueze was an unused substitute for Sunderland in the Premier League 2 playoff final.
