Official: Bournemouth release ex-West Ham and Tottenham youth teamer Ferdinand Okoh

Following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season, Premier League side Bournemouth have published their retained and released list

Talented London-born Nigerian central midfielder Ferdinand Okoh is set to embark on a new chapter in his career following his release by the Cherries.

Okoh joined Bournemouth in the summer of 2020 after spending two years in Tottenham Hotspur's academy and four seasons with West Ham prior to that.

The 20-year-old is departing the Cherries without making his senior debut for the Vitality Stadium outfit although he received a call-up for a League Cup game against Norwich City in August 2022.

He spent time on loan at non-league clubs Truro City FC, Haringey Borough, Dorchester and Hayes & Yeading in search of first team football.

Okoh played an influential role in helping the Cherries win their division of the EFL Youth Alliance and reach the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup in 2021-2022.

He has been described as a central midfielder with good range of passing and has the ability to break up play.

Meanwhile, England international of Nigerian descent, Dominic Solanke is under contract until June 30, 2027 and will be staying put at Bournemouth for the time being.
